A last minute hurrah for this family!

Imagine you’re about to leave to drive home and you decide I’d like a photo shoot!!! This darling family called me on their way out of town for just that. 

so some thing about me that is unique to a lot of other photographers as I don’t stack my Photo shoots in a way that I get stuck. Usually every other day, in case of weather or emergencies. Unless of course it’s a crazy week like 4th of July where I am praying for 30a to be gorgeous!!

Anyway, this family called me while I was at the beach and asked if I could shoot them in the evening. I packed up and got ready to go to a very unplanned photo shoot and this is what I got. The cutest boys I’ve ever imagined! They have clearly had practice! 

I feel like somewhat of a novelty at this point in my life. I have been doing this for 25 years and I am pretty organized and very good about showing up in all the circumstances. This year my retina detached. I have had two surgeries and needles stuck in my eye. Haha that’s saying just comes to me every time I think about what I am going through. “Cross my heart, hope to die, stick a needle in my eye…” anyway I am temporarily a one eyed photographer. So wild! I can still get it done though! Even if it’s last minute and you’re on the way home!!
