Eden gardens and Santa

Some wedding days just have that extra bit of magic—the kind you couldn’t plan if you tried.
This beautiful wedding at Eden Gardens State Park was already everything you’d hope for. Towering oak trees draped in Spanish moss, that classic southern charm, and the kind of peaceful setting that makes everything feel a little more meaningful. It’s the perfect place for a couple to slow down, soak it all in, and celebrate something really special.
The day was filled with so much joy from the very beginning. Soft light filtering through the trees, quiet moments between the bride and groom, and the kind of laughter that just feels effortless. It was one of those weddings where everything flowed naturally—nothing forced, nothing rushed. Just real moments unfolding exactly as they should.
After the ceremony, we wandered the grounds for portraits, taking advantage of all the beauty Eden Gardens has to offer. Every corner feels like a backdrop—white columns, winding paths, and that dreamy southern landscape that never disappoints.
And then… something completely unexpected happened.
As we were walking, we spotted a couple who looked very familiar.
Santa.
Yes—Santa Claus… and his wife.
Not in a staged, planned, “this was part of the wedding” kind of way. Just casually there, enjoying the park like anyone else. It was one of those blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moments where everyone kind of paused and then immediately started laughing in disbelief.
The bride and groom leaned right into it (which made it even better), and of course—we had to grab a few photos. Because when else are you going to run into Santa during your wedding portraits in Florida?
It added this completely unexpected, lighthearted twist to the day. A moment no one could have planned, but one that everyone will remember.
That’s the beauty of weddings like this.
You can plan the timeline, choose the perfect venue, and envision how everything will go—but it’s the unplanned moments that often stand out the most. The ones that make your day uniquely yours. The ones that turn into stories you’ll tell over and over again.
A stunning venue, a genuinely joyful couple, and a surprise run-in with Santa and his wife…
Honestly, it doesn’t get much more memorable than that.
